When you talk to people about Solar, you’ll hear a lot about
Return On Investment. You’ll hear about watts and kilowatts and inverters and
panels sprinkled in with plenty of engineering terms. All that is OK, and it’s information
worth knowing … sort of.
But think about this. If you go into a car dealership, what
do you go in to talk about and see? Are you talking about engine displacement, limited
slip differential or ABS brakes? Most people don’t. They are thinking about the
benefits of owning a particular brand or model.
Maybe they are looking for a mini-van because their family
is growing. They want a DVD player in the back because they drive to the
grandparent’s house every other weekend—it is a 90 minute drive, and the kids
get bored. You get what I mean. So
what’s up with the “Solar Is a Girl’s Best Friend?” Read this …
The Robinsons, South Jordan- “I just wanted to let you know that the rebate check arrived at last!
Thanks for fighting for us - we certainly appreciate that you guys went
above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied customers … I also wanted to
tell you that Utah Power put a note in my mailbox the other day to let us know
the power would be off while they did some work in the neighborhood … When that
time came, the transition to our solar was absolutely seamless. I was
working in the library and didn't even know when they shut the power off.
It was so great to be off the grid but still have everything going!
Loved it!”
The exciting thing about owning a solar system is that it
provides you with Lifestyle Assurance IF you have battery backup with it. With
battery-backup, you become your own power company--you don’t care if the grid
goes down.
Here is another story. A family buys a solar system with a
battery backup. There is a HUGE windstorm in their area, and the power goes out
throughout the WHOLE TOWN. Except at The Child’s house. Everybody else is
running around trying to get fuel for their generator (propane supplies in a
thirty mile radius were sold out in hours)! The Childs family woke up to a warm
house, and Mrs. Childs could do her hair in a lit bathroom with a blow dryer
that worked.
Solar really is a girl’s best friend!
